총상금 12,000달러 4.30 마감
비영리 한인 미술 지원 단체 알재단(대표 이숙녀)이 제21회 AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Award(알재단 현대미술 공모전)의 수상작가(受賞作家)를 선정하기 위한 지원서를 4월 30일(화)까지 온라인으로 접수받는다.
이번 현대 미술 공모전은 T&W Foundation 의 후원으로 진행하고 있으며 지원자의 작품 포트폴리오를 바탕으로 큐레이터, 비평가 등 유수의 미술 전문가와 함께 최종 3인을 선정한다 .
선정된 3인은 상금과 함께 뉴욕 알재단 갤러리 (2605 Frederick Douglass Blvd., #C1, New York, NY 10030)에서 단체전에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 얻는다. 현재 미국을 기반으로 작품 활동을 하고 있는 한국계 미술 작가라면 누구나 지원 가능하다. 작품 장르는 회화, 설치, 사진 및 비디오 등 다양하며 지난 5년 내 완성한 작품이 있어야 한다.
공모 마감일은 오는 4월 30일(미 동부시간 밤11시 59분 마감)이며 수상자는 6월 1일 발표 할 예정이다. 이 외에도 알재단은 현재 아카이브 연구, 큐레토리얼 등 다양한 펠로십 및 프로젝트 그랜트 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 접수 방법 및 자세한 내용은 알 재단 웹사이트(www.ahlfoundation.org) 에서 확인하거나 이메일(info@ahlfoundation.org) 로 문의하면 된다.

$12,000 Worth of Prize Money – Deadline: April 30, 2024
Applications for the 2024 the 21st Annual AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Awards are open. Organized by AHL Foundation, a non-profit group supporting Korean artists, and sponsored by T&W Foundation, this annual open call is open to all contemporary artists of Korean descent active in the United States. Applications and portfolios are reviewed and judged by a panel of prominent curators, critics, gallerists, and other art professionals in New York. Winners receive prize money in the amounts of $5,000 (Gold Prize), $4,000 (Silver Prize), and $3,000 (Bronze Prize) respectively, as well as the chance to showcase their work in a group exhibition at AHL Foundation’s Gallery (2605 Frederick Douglass Blvd., New York, NY 10030) in New York City. Any artist of Korean descent currently active and residing in the United States is welcome to apply. Visual artworks, such as paintings, installations, photographs, video art, etc., made within the last five years will be accepted.
