40년에 걸친 김종선 회장의 칭찬운동이 해외로 뻗어나간 것은 지난 2015년 버락 오바마 대통령을 1호 칭찬영웅으로 선정한 것이 계기가 되었다. 그동안 반기문 유엔 사무총장, 세계적 투자전문가 워렌 버핏 버크셔 해서웨이 회장, 찰스 랭글 연방 하원의원, 최근엔 브라이언 캠프 조지아 주지사와 에릭 아담스 뉴욕시장, 하킴 제프리스 민주당 원내대표 등을 칭찬영웅으로 선정, 인증서(認證書)를 전달하기도 했다.
미국 태권도교육재단 홍보대사도 맡고 있는 그는 해마다 뉴욕 타임 스퀘어에서 열리는 태권도 페스티발에 참가하는 등 원조 한류인 태권도와 남다른 인연도 갖고 있다. 특히 애틀랜타의 조지아 센트럴 대학교에 태권도학과 설립을 성사시키는 공로를 인정받아 대외협력 부총장의 직위도 수행하고 있다.

Global praise activist Kim Chong-sun, Chairman of the "Let's Start from Myself Reform Practice World Alliance" (NASILYEON), has drawn significant attention by sending a ‘Creation Hero’ certificate to US President-elect Donald Trump, alongside proposals for the ‘Trump Praise Economy’ and ending the war in Ukraine.
Currently staying in New York, Chairman Kim revealed in an interview with the global webzine Newsroh on the 28th, "I sent the certificate and proposal addressed to Eric Trump, the President-elect's second son." Having visited Trump Tower multiple times to promote the praise campaign to staff and citizens, Chairman Kim explained, "An insider who knows the internal operations well advised me that a good proposal should be mailed directly to Eric Trump."
Eric Trump, 40, along with his older brother Donald Trump Jr. (46) and older sister Ivanka Trump (43), is a biological child of Trump's first marriage and wields formidable influence within the Trump campaign. Notably, as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, Eric has demonstrated considerable business acumen and enjoys profound trust from his father.
The ‘Creation Hero’ designation is a newly launched praise movement following the ‘Praise Hero’ campaign initiated by NASILYEON in 2015, honoring world leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership and imagination.
Chairman Kim stated, "Trump was re-elected president with an indomitable challenger spirit, delivering hope and inspiration to the United States and the world. This proposal contains detailed content regarding the ‘Trump Creation Economy Doctrine,’ which connects the US and South Korea to benefit not only the bilateral economies but also the global economy through a 'Praise New Civilization Movement.'"
The core of the Trump Creation Economy Doctrine is to establish "Digital Humanity Grand Integration Praise Economy Centers" in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Seattle, transforming them into international landmarks that attract countless tourists, with Trump’s real estate development firm participating in their development.
The background behind proposing a ‘Creation Hero Relay’ to the President-elect—aimed at ending the war in Ukraine and offering diplomatic solutions for US-North Korea relations—is also drawing interest. As widely known, Trump publicly vowed during the presidential campaign to end the war in Ukraine upon taking office. Given that Russian President Vladimir Putin also secretly favored Trump’s victory, the intention is to build momentum through a ‘Creation Hero’ relay cheering for a meeting between the two leaders.
Chairman Kim shared, "For the past two months or so, I have spent nearly every day roaming the heart of New York, meeting politicians, business leaders, and numerous citizens to share the stories of Creation Heroes and the praise economy. Seeing them consistently express favorable responses and actively participate in our NASILYEON global campaign has given me even greater confidence."
In 2017, Chairman Kim selected Russian President Vladimir Putin as a Praise Hero, delivering the certificate to then-visiting Russian Deputy Speaker Pavel Dorokhin in South Korea.
He pointed out, "Although Putin is currently being criticized due to the war in Ukraine, President Trump will certainly find common ground to end the war once he takes office. What matters to us is that this can serve as an opportunity to coordinate among the leaders of the US, Russia, and North Korea, thereby promoting the settlement of peace on the Korean Peninsula."
Chairman Kim’s 40-year-long praise movement expanded overseas starting in 2015, when then-President Barack Obama was selected as the first Praise Hero. Since then, he has selected and presented certificates to high-profile figures such as UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, global investment guru and Berkshire Hathaway Chairman Warren Buffett, US Representative Charles Rangel, and more recently, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
Also serving as a public relations ambassador for the US Taekwondo Education Foundation, he shares a special connection with Taekwondo—the original Korean Wave—by participating in the annual Taekwondo Festival held in New York’s Times Square. In recognition of his contribution to successfully establishing a Taekwondo Department at Georgia Central University in Atlanta, he also serves as Vice President for External Affairs.
Concluding over two months of activities in the US and returning to Korea soon, Chairman Kim pledged, "I spared sleep at night to compile materials and ran around on foot. I sent the same materials to Fox News, which Trump trusts the most, and received confirmation that the mail arrived at the Trump campaign.
